What is CeRA?

Consortium for e-Resources in Agriculture (CeRA) has been established under the NAIP for providing online access to e-journals and resources in over 120 ICAR libraries. Objective is to expand the existing R & D information resource base of ICAR Institutions/Universities, etc., comparable to world leading institutions/organizations, and nucleate e-access culture among scientists/teachers in ICAR Institutes / Agricultural Universities.

What is JCCC@CeRA ?

JCCC is J-Gate Custom Content for a group of homogeneous Consortia Members. JCCC@CeRA is an Internet gateway solution for the members of the CeRA consortium, providing publisher independant access to the Journals subscribed by the Consortium and it's libraries.

What is J-Gate ?

Consortium for e-Resources in Agriculture (CeRA) has been established under the NAIP for providing online access to e-journals and resources in over 120 ICAR libraries. Objective is to expand the existing R & D information resource base of ICAR Institutions/Universities, etc., comparable to world leading institutions/organizations, and nucleate e-access culture among scientists/teachers in ICAR Institutes / Agricultural Universities.

How do i access JCCC?

JCCC is IP authenticated in your institute. Incase it is asking for user-id/password please contact the librarian of your institute. The institute needs to send the current Static IP (Public IP) assigned by the ISP (Internet Service provider) to cera.usi@gmail.com. The IP address of the institute can be checked by visiting the URL http://whatismyip.com.

Do I get table of contents for all the journals subscribed by my Institution ?

Yes, you can access the table of contents for all the print and electronic journals subscribed by your institution.

Can I access the table of contents for all the journals subscribed by consortia members ?

Yes, you can access the table of contents for all the journals subscribed by the consortia members.
Sometimes a consortium may opt to include only select titles from among those subscribed by its members.  In that case you can access only the TOC of those select titles.  Please check out with your librarian.

How do I get Full-Text of the articles?

Each article details shows a Full Text link at the bottom. You have to click on the full-text link, which may : a) open up a pop-up window showing the link address, clink on "find article" link to get the full text of the article ; b) open up a DDR form which will enable you to send a request to a library which subscribes to the hard copy of the journal; c) open up a pop-up window telling that the article is available in your institute library; d) open up a pop-up window showing the PDF link in the publisher website.

Can I access the full text of all the journals subscribed by each consortia member ?

You can access the full text of only the journals subscribed by your institution.  However you have a facility to send an email to the library for obtaining the full text of journals not subscribed by your institution.

Why am I not getting online Full-Text ?

On clicking the full-text link if you are being asked for a user-id/password, please check with your librarian if there has been a change in the institute's public IP address. The institute needs to send the current Static IP (Public IP) assigned by the ISP (Internet Service provider) to cera.usi@gmail.com. The IP address of the institute can be checked by visiting the URL http://whatismyip.com.

How latest is the content on JCCC when compared to publisher's website ?

The time lag between appearance of content on publisher's website and the same content on JCCC for TOC will not be more than a week.

How is JCCC useful to the users ?

Users are able to access the latest TOC of all electronic journals subscribed by all the consortia members, from their terminals sitting in their department.

Is there a list of journals subscribed by other consortia members ?

Yes, JCCC provides a facility to view all the journals subscribed by the consortia members.

How to get Photocopies of full text articles ?

In the case of journals subscribed by your library, you can request your librarian for a photocopy of an article through an e-mail facility in JCCC.  If your library does not subscribe to the journal, then also you can request the librarian of the designated library for the journal in question, for photocopy of the article through an e-mail facility.
